A memorial event on the ocassion of the 78th anniversary of liberation to commemorate the victims of Nazi persecution

  • beginning at 10 a.m. at the National Cemetery in front of the Small Fortress

10:00 - 10:40 - Laying wreaths at the National Cemetery

10:40 - 10:43 - Anthem of the Czech Republic - Edita Adlerová

10:43 - 10:46 - Welcoming of guests - Jan Roubínek, director of the Terezín Memorial

10:46 - 10:56 - Main speech - Petr Pavel, President of the Czech Republic

10:56 - 11:02 - Word of the witness - Ján Hanák, former prisoner of the Terezín ghetto

11:02 - 11:07 - Christian prayer - Monsignor Dominik Cardinal Duka, Archbishop Emeritus of Prague

11:07 - 11:12 - Jewish Prayer - Karol Efraim Sidon, Chief Rabbi of the Land

11:12 - 11:22 - Peallae cantantes Choir

11:22 - 11:25 - The end of the ordeal - Jan Roubínek, director of the Terezín Memorial

11:25 - 11:30 - Removal of the national flag and departure of the Honorary Unit of the Castle Guard

The Small fortress will be open to the public from about 10:30, all admission will be free in all buildings of the Terezín Memorial. We cordially invite everyone.
