About the author (English is behind the Czech)

This place and I have agreed that bringing new beings here is a worthwhile deed.

Here they are.

The drawings displayed here are portraits of plants, trees, animals, minerals, phenomena and beings of various types, or their connections with each other.

I would not dare to embellish any story—nor would I make up any—because of the respect I feel towards everyone and everything.

As I believe it would be very demanding for viewers if I offered long texts explaining the creation of each drawing here, I decided instead to provide short captions to each work. These short descriptions, as well as documentary photos of most of the portrayed entities, are meant to serve as clues.

I hope I have provided viewers enough clues to stories that are, in my opinion, often complex and exceed ordinary perception of the world.

Ariadne, the woman who gave Theseus a ball of red thread to help him escape the Minotaur‘s labyrinth, is sitting in the center of this room. This Ariandne of ours is a guide to many memories. And these memories are connected with the red thread.

We are all siblings of the red thread.
