Memories is the name of a project presenting loose narratives in which survivors relive their experiences of the Nazi occupation. Although they are not always necessarily factual accounts of what happened, they are always linked by certain emotions which change over time, just as the emotions evoked by reminiscences change. What all these stories have in common are the Small Fortress and the Terezín Ghetto, where the survivors' fates were interwoven. The book is the result of several years' collaboration between the Terezín Memorial and the publishing house KAM po Česku.

The stories are arranged in the order in which they were published in the monthly magazine KAM po Česku (Where in Czechia) from 2007 - 2018. Each of the sories gives information about the date of recording of the interview with the eyewitness or (in the case of the already deceased ones) about the text compilation.
