Singer Lenka Lichtenberg's concert of her grandmother's poems from Terezín set to music

Lenka Lichtenberg is an artist from Prague living in Canada, and her album Thieves Of Dreams from 2022, with which she will perform in Terezín, won the prestigious Juno Awards in Canada, which is a parallel to the American Grammys.

The album is composed by Lenka Lichtenberg and other authors of poems written to music by her grandmother during World War II in Terezín. She was deported to the ghetto with her husband Richard and Lenka's mother Jana Renée Friesová on December 23, the day before Christmas, 1942. They came from Josefov. It was the mother and grandmother, as Lenka calls her, who managed to survive as the only ones in the family.

In addition to Lenka Lichtenberg, the Czech composer and singer Milli Janatková will also perform in Terezín, who set some poems to music herself. Canadian artists - violinist Rebekah Wolkstein and bassist Joseph Phillips - will also perform in the accompaniment.
